Bob Glancy House Historian!

Bob Glancy researches and writes the history of historic homes.

He has expert knowledge of the Lowry Hill, Kenwood and
Lake of the Isles neighborhoods where he was a realtor for many years.
He also gives walking tours of the neighborhood and publishes
a calendar featuring historic homes.

Bob is very active in defending historic homes from demolition
and often testifies on their behalf before the Minneapolis City Council.
Bob was an advocate with the group that saved the John Speedy house
and Waldron bungalows.

Bob also gives informative and entertaining lectures. He’s
recently presented lectures on the very grand Gates mansion,
near Lake of the Isles, and the Lowry Hill neighborhood.
He has worked on acheiving local historic designation for that
neighborhood.

Bob very generously shared information on architect Theron Healy
from his extensive, comprehensive research files. Thank you Bob!
